A Canadian-born international theatre artist, Coleen is the artistic director of the Open Heart Surgery Theatre. She trained at movement school, École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and has toured work in Canada, USA, France, England, Spain and China. Most recently, Coleen directed This Is Why We Live at Plateau 31 in Paris, France. Coleen translated Pylade by Pier Paolo Pasolini with Adam Paolozza which recently premiered on Off-Broadway at La MAMA by The Great Jones Repertory Company in New York. In Canada, Coleen has worked with Why Not Theatre, TheatreRUN, Theatre Smith-Gilmour and more. In 2014, her play First Draft had a sold out run at the Camden People’s Theatre, and then went on to the Mimetic Festival (The Vaults) in London, UK. In June 2016, it will tour to Fallaki Theater in Cairo, Egypt through Studio ZAT. Currently, Coleen is working on a new Studio ZAT workshop for devised theater.
