Egyptian film critic, programmer and script supervisor, Writes constantly since 2009. Publishing weekly articles in “Al Kahera” newspaper and “Filfan” website, Beside various contributions in different prints and websites including “Goethe Institute Magazine”. He published five books about Egyptian cinema: “Conversations with Daoud Abdel Sayed”, “Taboo in Egyptian 80s Generation Cinema”, “Helmy Halim.. A Story From Here”, “Conversations with Yousry Nasrallah” and “Khairy Beshara: A Long Film about Life”.
He was the chief programmer of Ismailia international festival for documentaries and shorts, also feature film programmer of Luxor European and Egyptian film festival. He is currently the assistant artistic director of Cairo International film festival. He is also the secretary general of Egyptian film critics association (EFCA), A FIPRESCI member. He acted as jury in many festivals including Locarno, Malmo, Oran, Original Narrative (Dubai), Rotterdam Arab Film Festival, Luxor, Tripoli and Rotterdam Arab film festival. He co-founded “Clockwork Temptation” script house. Through which he supervised the scripts of many successful TV series including “30 Days”, “House Secrets”, “Superman’s Daughters” and “Words on Paper”.
