About Mahmoud Lotfy
Born in 1985, Mahmoud Lotfy is an Egyptian Cinematographer. He studied cinema at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Egypt. The first feature film that he worked on was ‘Heliopolis’. Over the years, he as filmed numerous award winning short movies, feature films and TV series, with some of the industry’s top filmmakers and directors including Mohamed Khan, HalaLotfy, Bassil Ramses and Dina Hamza. Mahmoud also taught cinema and lighting at the Jesuit Cairo Film School from 2008 to 2016 and participated in the filming of numerous short and independent film projects, developed young and aspiring filmmakers, including Moataz Nasr El Din.
